Isaac the Director

Isaac got his hands the video camera. He had to have a go at it before it was taken away from him. Unfortunately, he normally only sees the lens end of the camera since we are always taping him, so he thought it best to try to look through the lens to see what was on the other side.
Now it is upside down and backwards. He didn't figure it out but I am sure it won't be long until he does. He is really quick with the electronics around the house. It won't be long before I am asking for his help with the computer.

Cows on the Concourse

Every year Madison hosts "Cows on the Concourse." They bring some of the cattle from the UW to the Capitol to show off to the public. Isaac loves cows so we thought this would be right up his alley.

Here is Isaac petting a month old Brown Swiss calf.

Here is a week old Holstein calf.
The black udder is where chocolate milk comes from, yummy!
A two week old Jersey calf. He was just a skinny little guy compared to the week old Holstein. Jersey cows are favored for there high buttermilk content in their milk.
Here is a close up of the little guy. Very cute... and I never thought I would say that about a cow.
The Holstein wants a high five.
Isaac is happy to oblige.
Isaac giving the cow a hug.
Yummy grilled cheese. I challenge you to find something more tasty than cheese, butter grilled on bread.
Spotty, the crime fighting cow. Remember kids, only you can take a moo out of crime. Wait, maybe he was the criminal?

Swimming Lessons

Isaac is waiting his turn for a swim in the pool with Rosie.
Working on his kicks.
Eating a duck while he waits for his turn again.
Jump! I have actually got him to jump into my arms from the edge of the pool. He loves the water and I am worried he is going to try this without someone ready to catch him.
Working on the back float. This is not one of his favorite moves. He normally tries ripping your face off to get back to vertical position. He is doing alright here because he has a toy in his ripping hand.

Good Dog!

Elle and her dog Olee. In this picture it is a bit of a forced balanced of a beer cup on his head but earlier in the night he sat perfectly still while she rested her beer on his flat head. I wasn't able to get a picture as it was my turn to hit in the softball game we were playing. Nothing like a portable table for your beer.

Mowing the Lawn in Style

Isaac and Grandpa mowing the lawn.
Isaac was all business when he was on the riding lawnmower with Grandpa. Grandpa said that he had a "death grip" on the wheel and basically had to turn Isaac to turn the wheel.
He we go!
Making a lap around the yard.

Boating and Lawnmowers

The family taking a cruise on a nice sunny day.
Isaac taking his turn driving the boat. He should be paying a little bit better attention to where he is going.
Watching the ducks swimming in the water.
Isaac is watching the birds fly around the water.
Just making a face. Don't mind me.
Mommy taking in some sun.
Ok, I need a break. Five minute time out.
Ok, all better. Time to help grandpa fish.
Look mom and dad. I am fishing all by myself.
Actually, Isaac had more fun rotating the fish pole on its stand and hitting me in the head than he did trying to fish. Having an attention span of less than ten seconds is not quite up for par for fishing.
Can I have the camera?
Please!
Oh God, Why not! You are so mean!
Here, I will try one more time.
Look Daddy, I am on a riding lawnmower.
This is how you turn the wheel. This is so much fun!
Hey wait, before we go we should check to make sure we have enough gas.
Yep, plenty of gas.
Hey, grandma has my pants. How am I suppose to go anywhere with her holding on to my pants.

Farm Boys

Farmer Isaac and Farmer Grandpa posing by the tractor.
Putting the tractor in the barn.
Isaac spent the afternoon going down the driveway and then back up into the barn. I am pretty sure he liked his new "farm."
Grandpa taking a rest on a milk can while Isaac takes off for another lap in the driveway.
Grandpa is happy that Isaac is a farm boy at heart.
Thanks grandpa for the new barn and farm supplies. I love them!

Chula Vista Animals

The Resort had lots of real animals (albeit stuff) in the hallways and other main rooms. Here is a caribou.

Isaac's favorite animal was the Buffalo. This was hanging by the main restaurant over a fireplace. He loved to touch the bottom chin hair of the buffalo. He would laugh every time he got to "pet" the buffalo. Here he is on his way up for a petting. He was even able to say "buffalo" by the time we left. It sounded like buff.....o, but we knew what he meant.
Here is a picture right before we left the resort to head home. Isaac and Daddy have some matching hair. Isaac played hard and loved every minute of his vacation. We hadn't even travel a mile before he was asleep in the car.
Here he is at home after his nap. He is ready to go where as Mommy and Daddy were still tired. The amount of energy Isaac has is amazing.
