Berlin Day 2

A close up of the statue on the top of Brandenburg Gate.
Another cool stone carving. They were all over in Germany. If I stopped to take a picture of every statue, I would still be there.
I can't remember what this building was called. The first thing I noticed was Jesus giving me the finger, at least that is what I thought. Once I used my zoom, it turns out he is just pointing to the sky. An easy mistake to make, considering Jesus was the inventor of gangs. J/K
One thing you don't see in the US is bullet holes in the sides of building, at least not in the good parts of major cities. These are bullet holes in the side of a museum from the days when they rounded up the Jews and removed them from the city.

I took some time to walk through a museum that contained artifacts from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. This one reminded me of a car hood ornament.
Ouch, talk about a rough day. No hands, feet, head, or manhood. One wonders why they kept this statue, maybe it was his well defined pecks.
Egyptian writing
Queen Nefertiti- considered one of the greatest works of ancient art. The left eye was purposely left undone to show the method of painting.
Canopic Jars - these contain the organs of people who were mummified.
Just a cool courtyard we found as we were walking through Berlin.

This is how they mark where the Berlin Wall used to stand. These were bricks that ran through a street.

This is were we learned about the Berlin Wall. The was almost an entire block that had a wall of information that gave the history of the Berlin Wall. It probably took us 45 minutes to read it all but it was really interesting.
Just an artistic picture of the sun shining through the clouds.
Pretty flowers
