After Berlin Mike, Alicia, Heather, and I took a train to Waldenburg. None of us had ever taken a train in Europe before this trip. We got on our first train and found seats. We sat back ready to enjoy our inaugural train ride when people started to tell us to get our of their seats. Little did we know that some seats are reserved and some are not. We ended up finding three seats, but I had to stand for the duration of the 2 hour train ride. Also, you can drink beer on trains, so that was a plus.
Our first night there we had dinner at Nicole's parents house. This is the Onalaska guys that made the trip to Germany for Derek's 2nd wedding. Nicole's parents treated us to a nice dinner, good German beer, and some snapps to wash it down.
I can't offer an explanation for this picture other than ALCOHOL.

After the dinner we all came back to our cabin for some post dinner beverages. This is Chad with our new German friends Marina and Sven.
Nicole's sister, Janeen is showing us were they keep dishes in German cabins. Not in the kitchen but underneath the TV. Such a logically place, why didn't we think of that.
